The youngest daughter of tennis superstar Lleyton Hewitt and his former Home and Away wife Bec is ready to step out of mum and dad’s spotlight and have her own moment in the sun.
Following in her mum’s footsteps, 12-year-old Ava Hewitt is set to find fame in front of the camera.
The young-gun has been revealed as one of five young tv hosts for Nick News, a tv series for the children’s cult favourite network.
Ava has been on the show for the past year but she’s managed to stay off the radar, until now.
The series has been nominated at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Nick News is up against Budjerah, Georgie Stone, Lydia Ko, Robert Irwin and Savannah Clarke for the Aussie/Kiwi Legend of the Year award.
Nick News is a kid’s based show that brings audiences a fun, fresh and engaging wrap-up of all the latest global news across entertainment, toys, music, sport, celebrities, and quirky facts.
The presenters come from Sydney’s Village Nation Performing Arts. The show airs across the week on Nickelodeon and 10Shake.
Bec and Lleyton’s other two children are also very gifted with their son Cruz following in his dad’s footsteps as a tennis player and their eldest Mia is making a name for herself in the fashion world.
Ava performed on Dancing with the Stars back in 2021 when mum Bec made her return to the Channel Seven series.
The news of the youngest Hewitt on the tv series comes just a day before the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards which are set to take place in Los Angeles.
The award show will air on Paramount + on Wednesday, March 8.
