First team

Bella Andrade, P, Westmont, senior

BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division MVP helped lead Westmont to the CCS Division I title game. Hit .367 with 14 RBIs. Was 9-3 with a 2.08 ERA. 

Braxton Brown, P, Benicia, senior

Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division MVP hit .361, belted seven home runs and had 31 RBIs. Had 40 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched. 

McKenna Campbell, C, Willow Glen, senior

BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division senior of the year hit .581, and hit the walk-off double for the NorCal Division II champions.

Alanna Clincy, P Willow Glen, freshman

BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division pitcher of the year struck out 185 for the NorCal Division II champions.

First-team all-EBAL selection helped pitch California to its first North Coast Section title in school history. Went 19-6 with 110 strikeouts.  

Paige McLeod, P, San Ramon Valley, senior

East Bay Athletic League player of the year and first-team all-league selection led Wolves to league title and struck out 220.

Alexandra Mello, P, Granada, senior

First-team all-EBAL selection helped Granada reach the NCS Division II semifinals. Went 17-2 with 110 strikeouts and a 1.16 ERA.

Kate Munnerlyn, P, St. Francis, junior

First-team all-West Catholic Athletic League selection was 16-3 with a 0.55 ERA, and also hit six HRs. 

Jaime Oakland, OF, St. Francis, freshman

WCAL player of the year hit .533 with 14 RBIs for the NorCal Division I finalists. 

Alexis O’Gorman, OF, St. Francis, senior

First-team all-WCAL pick hit .468 with three home runs and 36 RBIs for the WCAL regular season co-champions. 

Mia Rodriguez, OF, Archbishop Mitty, junior

The first-team all-WCAL selection hit .438 as a great defensive center fielder, drove in the winning run in a CCS Open Division first-round game vs. Sequoia. 

Maya Soto, P, Freedom, junior

Bay Valley Athletic League pitcher of the year struck out 103 in 131 ⅔ innings and also hit .443 and nine doubles.

Tri-County Athletic League MVP pitched every inning of every game for the 29-2 North Coast Section Division III champion Spartans and also hit .538. 

Ainsley Waddell, P, Sequoia, senior

Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division player of the year hit .595 and struck out 254 in 159 ⅓ innings. 

Jasmine Whorley, P, Alameda, senior

West Alameda County Conference Foothill Division pitcher of the year went 12-2 with 174 strikeouts and a 0.86 ERA. 

McKenna Woliczko, IF, Archbishop Mitty, freshman

The Bay Area News Group girls basketball player of the year also earned WCAL first-team honors after hitting .429 with 23 RBIs.

First-team all-East Bay Athletic League selection helped lead Granada to the NCS Division I semifinals. Hit .443 with eight home runs.

First-team all-BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division selection hit .476 with 30 RBIs and five home runs. Struck out 38 as a pitcher. 

Soo-Jin Berry, IF, Clayton Valley Charter, senior

First-team all-DAL Foothill selection hit .451 with 26 RBIs, five triples and six home runs for the league champions. 

Noelani Ching, IF, California, senior

First-team all-East Bay Athletic League selection hit .326 with five doubles, three home runs and 18 RBIs for the NCS Division I champions. 

Alex Cutonilli, IF, Heritage, senior

First-team all-Bay Valley Athletic League selection hit .507 with nine home runs. Led the team with 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored. 

Dre DeJesus, IF,  Live Oak, senior

First-team all-BVAL Mt. Hamilton selection hit .400 with four triples for the CCS Division IV and NorCal Division V champions. 

Sophia Gandara, P, Leigh, sophomore

BVAL Santa Teresa West MVP hit .418 with 23 RBIs and three triples. Was also 16-4 with 167 strikeouts for the league champions.

Oklahoma commit’s impact exceeded her .302 batting average and five home runs. The all-WCAL honorable mention selection called games for Mitty’s pitching staff that had a combined 1.59 ERA. 

Sophia Jin, OF, San Ramon Valley, sophomore 

First-team all-East Bay Athletic League selection hit .484 with 27 runs scored as the leadoff hitter for the EBAL tournament champs. Stole 28 bases. 

Shannon Keighran, P, St. Francis, junior

West Catholic Athletic League pitcher of the year was 12-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 135 strikeouts in 74 innings pitched. Hit .269 with 13 RBIs and three home runs. 

Madeline Le, IF, Milpitas, senior

SCVAL De Anza Division MVP hit .506 with seven triples and four home runs for a team that reached the CCS Open Division playoffs. 

Nohemi Livingston, P, Capuchino, senior

PAL Bay pitcher of the year was 19-3 with a 1.39 ERA and 170 strikeouts. Also hit .447 with 23 RBIs and nine doubles. 

Avery Motroni, OF, Capuchino, sophomore

First-team all-PAL Bay Division selection hit .386 with 24 RBIs and six home runs for the league champions. 

Margo-Malaika Weaver, OF, St. Mary’s-Berkeley, senior 

First-team all-TCAL Rock Division pick and dyslexia activist hit .603 with 31 RBIs. Hit seven doubles, six triples and four home runs. 

Lola Whalen, IF, Encinal, junior

WACC Shoreline Division co-player of the year hit 11 home runs for the NCS Division III runners-up. Batted .472 and drove in 39 runs. 

Emma Wood, OF, College Park, senior

First-team all-DAL Foothill selection hit .382 with 19 RBIs and 10 doubles. Had 29 hits and scored 18 runs. 

Coach of the year

Don Spingola, Willow Glen

Led Willow Glen to the CCS Open Division semifinals, and then guided the Rams to the school’s first NorCal Division II championship.
