Holden Acadia recalled

General Motors Australia is recalling 12 examples of the Holden Acadia due to the reversing camera failing or functioning intermittently.

This recall affects top-of-the-range Acadia LTZ-V models produced in 2019 as a 2020 model.

“Due to a hardware issue, the rear view camera in these vehicles may fail or function intermittently,” said the company in its recall notice.

“If the rear view camera is not functioning properly, the rear visibility is reduced and could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle.”

If you own an affected vehicle you’ll be contacted by GM Australia and asked to contact your local dealer to have the coaxial cables replaced, free of charge.

GM will contact registered owners when the part is available, which is tentatively set for January to March 2023.

If you have any further questions you can contact Holden Customer Care on 1800 46 465 336.
