The 2023 NBA draft kicks off in just over a week and the rumors are starting to fly.

According to a report from Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the Charlotte Hornets are considering moving off of the No. 2 pick – for the right price. That price, though, might be a bit steep for opposing teams.

“But a league source said they are seeking ‘the sun, moon, the stars and maybe some beachfront property’ in exchange,” Amico said about the No. 2 pick.

Earlier this week, Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo of ESPN said the Hornets liked what they saw from top prospect Scoot Henderson. Amico said the team has also done with on Alabama’s Brandon Miller – who will work out for the team today.

The Hornets reportedly have no concerns in terms of making him the second selection.

The San Antonio Spurs will be selecting Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick next Thursday. What happens after that, though, is anyone’s guess.
