House of the Dragon – the much-awaited prequel of Game of Thrones – is finally close to its official release. The TV show is based on the Fire and Blood book series by the legendary author, George R.R. Martin. GOT was an incredibly successful series (despite its utterly disappointing ending), so it’s no wonder that the community has high expectations from the prequel series.
HBO announced House of the Dragon back in 2019, and we got the first trailer earlier this year in May. The teaser gave us a glimpse of the all-powerful House Targaryen while also flaunting a lot of dragons. The network spent around $150-$200 Million (Via: Variety) in season 1 of the upcoming TV show, and we’ll soon find out what the creators had done with that impressive budget.
House of the Dragon will premiere with the release of Episode 1 on Sunday, August 21st, 2022. Fans in the US can watch the episode exclusively on HBO Max at 9 PM ET (Eastern Timing). As usual, the episode’s release time will vary depending on your region. So, for several international fans, the release date for the House of the Dragon will be Monday, August 22nd, 2022. Anyway, if you wish to watch the episode before getting bombarded with spoilers on Twitter, you can follow this exact release schedule for different regions:
