Sevilla have added yet another Europa League title to their trophy cabinet following their penalty shootout victory over Roma in the 2022/23 final in Budapest.

The Spanish outfit are the undisputed kings of the competition having won the tournament on numerous occasions.

But exactly how many times have Sevilla won the Europa League?

Here is everything you need to know following their win over Jose Mourinho’s men.

How many times have Sevilla won the Europa League?

Sevilla have won the Europa League seven times in their history.

This makes them the most successful team in the history of the competition, which was rebranded from the UEFA Cup to the Europa League in 2009/10.

Their first victory came against Middlesbrough in 2005/06 with a 4-0 win in Eindhoven.

Los Nervionenses retained their title a year later with a penalty shootout victory over fellow La Liga side Espanyol.

Sevilla then went seven years without winning the tournament, but when they finally did so again it was the first of an historic treble of wins under Unai Emery.

The hat-trick started in 2013/14 with victory over Benfica on penalties.

Ukrainian side Dnipro were beaten 3-2 in the final a year later before the three-peat was completed with a 3-1 win over Liverpool.

Title number six was secured in the delayed 2019/20 final, with a late own goal from Romelu Lukaku sealing a 3-2 win over Inter Milan in Cologne.

The victory against Roma saw Sevilla retain their perfect record in Europa League finals with seven wins from seven.

Sevilla’s only other European trophy is the UEFA Super Cup from 2006.
