There’s no better way to ring in the New Year than on the ice.
On Monday, Jan. 2, the first-place Boston Bruins will do just that when they face off against Sidney Crosby’s Pittsburgh Penguins at Fenway Park for this year’s 2023 Winter Classic.
And while we can’t imagine any pucks will fly over the Green Monster, we can expect a tight matchup between two Eastern Conference contenders.
Led by Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, the Bruins are fighting to maintain their spot atop the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division while the Penguins attempt to rise the ranks of the crowded Metropolitan Division.
Most importantly though, fans can still scoop up last-minute tickets to this hotly-contested matchup in an ice-cold setting.
Seats at Fenway won’t be cheap, though.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on Vivid Seats was $358 before fees.
For those hoping to get closer to the ice, lower level seats start at $602 before fees.
All prices are subject to fluctuation.
Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.
Frozen Fenway
After the clock runs out in the Bruins-Penguins game, NCAA hockey will make its way into the Red Sox’s famed home for the annual Frozen Four.
First up, a pair of women’s hockey matches will hit Fenway on Jan. 6.
That day, the Harvard Crimson take on Quinnipiac Bobcats and then the Boston University Terriers close the day against the Holy Cross Crusaders.
General admission tickets start at $45 before fees.
The following day, Jan. 7, two NCAA men’s hockey games will serve as the final set of 2023 Fenway hockey contests.
In the doubleheader, fans will see a matchup of the Huskies when the Northeastern Huskies play the UConn Huskies. Later in the afternoon, rivals UMass and Boston College compete for hometown glory.
Seats for day two can be found for as low as $33 before fees.
Exciting events at Fenway Park
While Fenway is typically known for being the home to the Boston Red Sox, the venue will also host a number of huge concerts this coming summer.
