Before you’ll have the chance to start this quest, you’ll need to spend 10,000 Dreamlight to open the door to The Lion King realm. Once that’s done, you’ll find yourself facing another quest called ‘Eyes in the Dark’. This quest will allow you to bring Nala to the Valley. If you’ve completed that quest, you’ll have the chance to then invite Simba with the ‘Stars to Guide Us’ quest.

First, you’ll need to talk to Simba back in The Lion King realm. He’ll begin to reminisce on memories on his late father, wishing he could give him advice. Simba will then cut off the conversation by asking you to follow him further into the jungle. He’ll take you to a cliff, and wonder why he can’t see the stars anymore. Luckily, you know that Merlin can help with this.

Return to Dreamlight Valley and talk to Merlin. He says that you’ll need an object that means something to Simba from his past. Remembering that Simba mentioned Rafiki and his walking stick, Merlin recommends that you craft this item.

You’ll need a few different materials for this recipe:

  • Five Softwood
  • Five Fiber
  • Two Purified Night Shards

Once you have these items, you can craft Rafiki’s Walking Stick at a crafting table. Now you can return to The Lion King realm. After talking with Simba, you’ll need to place the stick on the stone mound in front of you. Interact with it, and select Rafiki’s Walking Stick. A cutscene will play out, and you’ll notice that the stars in the sky are finally shining. Simba is feeling better now, but still has unfinished business in his realm.

The dried-out oasis needs both you and Simba’s help to bring life back into the area. Once you follow him back to the oasis, he’ll ask that you find three different types of seeds in the jungle:

  • Three Jungle Fern Seeds
  • Three Waterfall Plant Seeds
  • Three Clearing Tree Seeds

Using your shovel, search around the jungle for shiny plants. That means you can dig them up, which gives you the seeds you need. Luckily, you can also find a green chest hidden behind some greenery. You’ll be rewarded with a Furniture Pouch containing a Lion Cub Night Light.

After finding the nine seeds, go back to the dried-out oasis and talk to Simba. Your next task will be planting these seeds anywhere around the oasis. Use your shovel to dig in the ground and plant each seed, no watering needed. This is because Simba will then ask for you to free the water source. The water is trapped behind a large rock which you can break using your trusty pickaxe. Finally, Simba is happy with the work you two have done, and will gladly follow you back to the Valley.
