How to get McDonald’s special sauce for Big Macs in dipping cups

McDonald’s will be serving its Big Mac sauce — also known as secret sauce and special sauce — in condiment dipping cups for a limited time.

You have to order through the McDonald’s app to get the cups, according to a news release from the fast food giant.

The promotion will begin Thursday, April 27 at participating U.S. locations and run as long as supplies last. The chain followed a similar strategy last year when it briefly brought back its Szechuan Sauce, a cult favorite thanks to a “Rick and Morty” cartoon.

The sauce will be delivered in a blue and silver cup, the colors of Big Mac wrapping when the burger was introduced in 1968.

Earlier this week, McDonald’s announced that it has upgraded its burger recipes and will be spreading more sauce on its Big Macs.
