How to win a free trip to Finland
If you fancy winning a free holiday in Finland, you need to visit the country’s official tourism site, Visit Finland.
There, applicants will be asked to enter their details before being requested to participate in a social media competition via Instagram or TikTok.
To be in with a chance of winning, hopefuls have to create some content, preferably a Reels video, explaining why they believe they may “secretly be a Finn” and why they want to take part in the trip.
You can make your application on your own or pair up with a friend, partner or relative.
Make sure to apply and produce your social media content before the closing date on April 2, 2023.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and have a good grasp of English. The trip is also aimed at outgoing individuals who are passionate about nature and wellness.
“You don’t have to be a self-help enthusiast or have survival skills in Finnish nature. All we want is an open mind,” the Visit Finland application page says.
Visit Finland will choose ten winners and the lucky few will be announced publicly on the tourist board’s social media accounts on May 2.
The trip is due to begin on June 11, 2023.

The ten lucky winners will attend a four-day Masterclass of Happiness in the stunning Finnish Lakeland.
Participants can expect classes on nature crafts, activities in forests and lakes and lessons on nourishing the body and soul, all led by Finnish experts.
Attendees will have all their travel and accommodation expenses covered. Guests will have their own private villa, sauna and spa at the all-inclusive Kuru Resort, a luxury retreat on the edge of a lake.
The activities aim to help participants release their “inner Finn.” As the campaign reassures, finding a Finnish state of mind is not a “mystical ability Finns are born with” but “a skill that can be taught.”
Free trip to Finland: Is there a catch?
There’s just one catch, which might put off some potential applications but could be a draw for others.
Applicants must be happy to be filmed during the trip and agree to the footage being used in Visit Finland’s promotional material.
