A FORMER hotel worker has revealed how you can always get a free breakfast to take away with you when staying the night.
Janessa Richard, who used to work at hotels, explained that you don’t have to skip the breakfast even if you are checking out too early.
Often sharing her top tips on her TikTok account, she said you can still get something to eat before you go.
She told her followers: “If your breakfast is included in your stay but you’re leaving before the breakfast start time, you can ask the staff to make you a to-go bag with a few items in it.”
One thing you shouldn’t do is go down to breakfast in your pyjamas.
William Hanson, the television etiquette expert who runs a podcast called Help I Sexted My Boss told Sun Online Travel: “Wearing pyjamas at breakfast is the height of sloppiness.
“Whilst hotels encourage you to relax and be ‘at home’ there are limits and this usually relates to the private areas (your room/suite) and not the public or communal areas.
“Arriving improperly dressed shows a total lack of consideration and respect for the staff and other guests.”
And a former hotel worker said you should never eat the eggs or waffles at breakfast as they often reuse them from the day before and just reheat them.
It’s not just the breakfast you should be wary or when staying at a hotel.
Janessa Richard explained why you should always change the toilet roll when you arrive, as she said they just disguise the fact it has been used by other guests.
She explained: “They do not change toilet paper tolls in between guests.
“If there’s toilet paper left on the roll, they will leave it there and fold the end to make it look pretty.”
When some people said they didn’t mind, Janessa said: “When I pay $150-$200 for a room, I’d expect a clean toilet paper roll.”
The best hotel breakfasts in the world have been revealed and with Premier Inn making the top 10.
