VISITING Lapland during the festive season is at the top of any child’s wish list.
For cash-strapped parents keen to give their little ones the top Santa experience, day trips from the UK are very popular as a ‘cheaper’ option to the overnight stays (although we appreciate they’re still pricey).
Newmarket Holidays’ daytrips to Lapland for 2023 are now on sale, and thanks to the relatively cheap price tag they tend to sell out quickly.
The trip will take you 60 miles above the Arctic Circle to the remote heart of Swedish Lapland, where you’ll find Pajala – the secret home of the real Santa Claus, his reindeer and his happy team of helpers.
You can take a day trip to Lapland on these specially chartered flights in December next year.

The day breaks will allow children to meet Santa and the elves, as well as receiving a gift from the big man.
The day excursions also include a ride in a traditional reindeer sleigh, a husky sled through the snow and a ride on a snowmobile.
Families will get some snacks and lunch, with vegetarian options available too.
It’s important to remember that Lapland has extremely harsh winter temperatures, typically ranging from 0 to -20C, but they can also reach -40C.
Newmarket will provide you with warm thermal clothing, including gloves and boots, but guests are also asked to bring layers and warm clothes.
Thermal wool socks, sweaters, snow boots, and skiwear are your safest bets.
If you’d rather enjoy a festive staycation this year, you could meet Santa at Chessington from £45pp.
Meanwhile, Santa’s Sleepovers are back at Alton Towers, with stays for £104pp, including dinner and breakfast.
And Butlin’s is currently offering its best deal ever on holidays.
