Hunter Schafer wore a single feather as a top at the Vanity Fair Oscar party

The next time you see a single feather flowing in the wind, let Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer inspire you to turn it into a top. Attending the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday, March 12, the 24-year-old model and actor wore a top that is just a white feather secured by a matching white string and some tape, probably. Schafer is known for her bold fashion sense (she is on Euphoria, after all), but this is a new level for her. It’s giving minimalist Julia Fox. 

The actor paired the top with a satin low-rise maxi skirt with a mermaid silhouette and white platform heels. For glam, she wore a smoky cat-eye look with contoured cheeks and a soft pink lip. She wore her dark blonde hair down in soft, beachy waves that just grazed the waistband of her skirt.

Hunter Schafer attended last year’s VF after-party in elevated elf cosplay. She wore a bleached denim dress and styled her hair with two blonde strands tucked behind her ears, not unlike a character in The Lord of the Rings. She arrived at the event alongside Euphoria costar Dominic Pike, whom she has been in a relationship with since early last year.

“An eye look is where I feel most comfortable experimenting, cause I feel like [my eyes] are so expressive already,” she told GLAMOUR in 2022 of her preferred beauty looks. “It’s where expression belongs on the face. Creating shapes or designs around my eyes is one of my favorite things to do and makes me feel like I’ve done something to express myself. Even just creating a really yummy combination of colours with different eye shadows is cool. My makeup and hair is based around my mood. It really depends on the day.”

So, what was she feeling at last night’s after-party? If I were to hazard a guess, I’d say “free as a bird.”
