Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV booking opens tomorrow: Check range, booking amount, charging time, colours, features and more

Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV Bookings: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced on Tuesday that bookings of its much-awaited BEV SUV – Hyundai Ioniq 5 – will begin from Wednesday. The company made the announcement at an event in Mumbai and also showcased the unique Vehicle to load (V2L) capability of the Hyundai IONIQ 5.

Interested customers can book the Hyundai IONIQ 5 from December 21 through the official website. For this, they will have to pay a booking amount of Rs 1,00,000.

The upcoming car will be the company’s first BEV to be introduced on Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It is an innovative system that was exclusively developed for next-generation battery electric vehicles that will usher in a new era of clean mobility.

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Vehicle-to-load (V2L) feature
Hyundai IONIQ 5 is equipped with a feature named V2L (Vehicle-to-Load). It is an innovative technology that allows the customer to power electrical appliances up to 3.6 kW from inside & outside the vehicle. The V2L port is located under the second-row seats and at the charging port on the vehicle exterior.

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Range
The electric vehicle has been equipped to offer customers an ARAI-certified range of 631 km and is designed to produce a power output of 160 kW (217 ps) and 350 Nm (35.7 kgm) of torque.

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Colour options
Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be offered in 3 exterior colour options. These are Gravity gold matte, Optic white and Midnight black pearl. Also, it will feature ‘opulent and futuristic interior tones’ with dark pebble gray interior color.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Charging
The upcoming vehicle has ultra-fast charging capability. It can be charged from 10% – 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kw DC charger. Also, the car has a multi-charging system with 400V and 800V.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Dimensions
In terms of dimension, the car has 4,635 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,625 mm in height. Whereas the wheelbase measured 3,000 mm.
