Hyundai released teaser images today of a new concept vehicle soon to be unveiled in Los Angeles.
The new Seven concept is set to frame a future battery-electric SUV from the Korean brand. Following on the well-received Ioniq 5, previews of the concept show a consistent design language, particularly in the pixelated character up front.
Also following from the Ioniq 5’s convention, it seems safe to assume that a new production model based on the Seven concept could be a seven-seater

Hyundai’s statement says that the “Seven’s interior suggests a premium and personalized lounge ambience, deepening the space innovation…shown with Ioniq 5.” No word yet on whether it will indeed offer a premium and personalized lounge ambience, but it makes for a fun press release.
Marketing bafflegab aside, sustainable materials are used throughout the Seven, and teaser shots show that the cold, techy exterior is balanced by some properly charming warmth and texture within the cabin. There are a lot of little details to take in, but our favourite thus far is the homely lamp nestled within a side compartment.
The concept will be formally unveiled at the LA Auto Show in two weeks’ time. Check back on Driving.ca for full coverage of AutoMobility LA on November 17th, 2021.
