A SCOTS holidaymaker has bagged a four star, seven night trip to the Costa Brava for less than a fiver.
It seems too good to be true, right?
But Karen O’Donnell, from Gourock, did just that through a unique bidding war on the Jet2holidays app.
The travel giant’s Bid for a Break campaign tasks potential travellers with entering the LOWEST bid in order to scoop the cheap getaway.
It’s simple – customers add in their bid to the nearest pence and If they’re the only user to bid that amount and that amount is the lowest, they will buy the holiday for that price.
Sunseeker Karen said: “I downloaded the Jet2 app after booking a recent holiday – it was a great tool for information whilst I was away – and I’ve been entering the competition every week since June.
“My bids have always been quite close to the amounts bid by previous successful bidders, so I’m over the moon to secure a holiday for myself!”
With Jet2 boss Steve Heapy adding: “Congratulations to Karen for successfully bidding for a holiday with Jet2holidays through our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.
“With summer in full swing, we know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are giving them the chance to do just that in a fun way for potentially only a few pence.
“With some fantastic holidays available to bid on each week, make sure you get involved and have a bid in mind for next week’s holiday. We wish Karen a lovely holiday in the Costa Brava!”
