I get complimented on my glow every time I use this hyaluronic acid self-tan serum, and it’s reduced by 29% right now

Fake tan is a bit of a divisive topic. You either can’t get enough of the stuff or you’re utterly terrified. For many years, I fell into the latter camp – namely due to one-too-many awful experiences that left me streaky and resemblant of a Wotsit. It happens to the best of us.

Then, I discovered Tan-Luxe’s Super Glow Hyaluronic Self-Tan Serum, and the game completely changed. I say “discovered”… I wasn’t out to find a gradual tanner I could actually work with… I just spend a lot of my time on Instagram, and every influencer/beauty ed/skincare sleuth around seemed to be recommending this stuff. How could I possibly pass up the chance of getting glow, hydration and tan from one bottle?

Waking up the morning after first applying my new facial serum was the moment I hopped blissfully from Camp Terrified to Camp Tan. And I’ve been there ever since. This stuff deserves attention immediately. Luckily, it’s reduced at Amazon right now by 29% (which works out at more than £10), so you can get a slice of the glowy goddess pie for less. It’s one of many amazing Amazon Prime Day beauty deals running ’til the end of tomorrow.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Tan Luxe Super Glow Self Tan Serum before you add to cart.

THE PRODUCT

THE HYPE

Tan-Luxe Super Glow was the world’s first superfood self-tan hyaluronic acid serum. The brand markets it as “your best fan ever, bottled” – thanks to the fact that it contains just the right percentage of tanning actives (4% naturally-derived DHA) for daily use, so it won’t take your skin tone up too many notches overnight. Read: no streaky, tangerine skin. Just a subtle, even glow that is sure to earn you compliments.

This supreme tanning ability is paired with the inclusion of tonnes of good-for-skin ingredients, so that Super Glow can get to work improving your complexion overnight. There’s a high weight hyaluronic acid which is married with extremely low molecular weight sodium hyaluronate to achieve hydration binding across multiple layers of the skin – to offer long-lasting, multi-layer and instant hydration at the same time as tanning. Elsewhere, there’s Chia Seed Oil to maintain healthy moisture levels, Beetroot Extract to brighten your complexion, Raspberry Seed Oil as an antioxidant and Avocado Oil which is rich in fatty acids and Vitamin E. There’s also Kale Extract to tighten your skin, Blueberry Extract which is also rich in antioxidants (sensing a theme?) and Coconut Oil which works to reduce inflammation. Told you: skincare and fake tan combined.

So, how did it fare?

BEAUTY BIO

As mentioned, I’m not historically much of a fake-tanner. But my skin is super fair – I’m almost always reaching for one of the palest three shades of any foundation – and I don’t particularly like laying in the sun too much. So going down the faux route is my only option if I want a sun-kissed complexion.
