As Netflix sets to launch its latest real estate show Selling Tampa, leading lady Sharelle Rosado – who is a few weeks away from giving birth to her fourth child – insists her team of women are very different to that of the Selling Sunset cast.
However, with just as much drama, explosive rows and million dollar houses on show, it sounds like Selling Tampa is set to raise the roof.
Here, Sharelle, the owner of the real estate firm Allure Realty, sets temperatures soaring as she opens up about her former life as a paratrooper, the way she runs her firm like the military, and why she feels it is important to support minority women in the field of luxury real estate.
For the majority of women in their last weeks of pregnancy, the thought of wearing heels is no mean feat. Yet for 33-year-old Sharelle Rosado, her stilettos are not going anywhere in a hurry, even when closing deals on multimillion properties at nine months pregnant.
And it’s not just her heels standing tall! For Sharelle ensures she hovers head and shoulders over her team of 20-plus realtors, in a bid to ensure they run the most successful luxury property agency on the sunshine coast.
Welcome to Selling Tampa, the Florida-based show that follows the lives of Allure Realty – an all-female Black property agency that is set to bring the world of luxury homes into our lives. Headed up by former military veteran Sharelle, who oversees a team of ambitious real estate agents all vying to be on top of the lavish world of luxury waterfront real estate.
Much like Selling Sunset, which has just aired its fourth season, the show offers a mix of high-end houses and rivalries as the women try to balance their work lives with their personal ones. However, according to Sharelle – who is expecting a baby girl with her fiancé, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson – at the end of the month, the shows are very different.
For a start, the squad of women in the agency is huge, there are no men in the brokerage and the Florida Suncoast home are apparently better than the LA ones. From beachside properties to high-rise condos looking over Tampa bay, Sharelle has plans to dominate the market with her hard-working team – but with this being reality TV, things don’t always run as smoothly.
Together with her right-hand woman Juawana Williams – one of Allure Realty’s top-performing and most experienced agents – the duo are seen to ruffle quite a few feathers along the way. However, for Sharelle, who served in the army for 13 years working as a paratrooper and being deployed to Afghanistan twice – she has no patience for nonsense, so when the bickering starts, you can expect sparks to fly.
From plunging out of aeroplanes into the world of Netflix, Sharelle tells Suzanne Baum about what we can expect to see on camera as yet another show about reality realtors kicks off……
