ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers: Sean Williams joins Virat Kohli and Babar Azam in elusive club

Sean Williams has now joined India star Virat Kohli and Pakistan captain Babar Azam in the top three list of batters with most runs in five five consecutive ODI innings.

With previous scores of 174, 102*, 91 and 23 at the tournament, the 36-year-old has now amassed 532 runs at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023.

Virat Kohli holds the record with 596 ODI runs for India in a five-innings stretch, with Pakistan right-hand batter Babar Azam next best on 537.

With just two matches remaining in the Super Sixes of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, Zimbabwe are on the cusp of qualifying in the 10-team main event which will kick start in India from October 5. Zimbabwe have won each of their first three Super Six matches.
