Champagne glasses will be clinking and frothy pints flowing when The Claremont Hotel finally opens on Monday after a $12 million makeover.
Eager punters have only a few more days to get a look inside the reimagined 120-year-old western suburbs mainstay, which shut in April 2020 before it was purchased by Australian Venue Co in 2022.
It has since been reinvigorated and more than doubled in floorspace with a capacity for 1600 people.
The Bay View Terrace institution is promising a “produce-led menu” by executive chef Nick Trezise showcasing “the best of WA with pub-style food designed to be enjoyed with your favourite beverage and good company”.
The menu features Albany rock oysters, Fremantle octopus, pizza, chicken parmis, smashed cheeseburgers and a “Bush Chook Roll”.
There will also be touches of glamour with roaming cheese and dessert trolleys, caviar and more than 70 wines.
There are a range of different spaces to discover across the venue, including a sports bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas, family friendly courtyard, rooftop bar and function spaces.
