Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations has conducted ICSE (Class 10) Economics Semester 1 paper on Tuesday, December 14. The OMR-based 40-marks paper is reportedly held successfully at all the designated centres across the country. It is reported that the difficulty level of the ICSE Economics paper is average. Students who appear in today’s exam now can check the analysis, unofficial answer key and views shared by the exam experts.
Based on the media reports, the Class 10 Economics paper is held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon following the board’s guidelines for the safe conduct of board exams. Over 2 lakh candidates are scheduled to take the 1st-semester board exams 2021. On per schedule, the council on December 14 conducted the 1-hour duration paper for the ICSE Economics subject.
Students on being asked, it is reported that the level of the Economics paper was balanced, as the pattern and syllabus of the same were defined by the council through Specimen paper. “Questions from Demand and Supply, Market, and Money were comparatively easier than last year”, a student said after the examination.
While being asked about the exam preparations, a student expressing satisfaction said that the syllabus bifurcation has helped him and many others to make effective preparations in times like this.

ICSE Economics 14 Dec Paper Analysis:
In ICSE Semester 1 Exam for Economics paper as many as 40 questions were asked. Each question carried 1 mark as specified in front of the question. To attempt all the questions, students were given time duration of 60 minutes. Based on the bifurcated syllabus for the ICSE (Class 10), the questions were asked from 4 units- The Productive Mechanism, Theory of Demand and Supply, Market, and Banking in India (Money).

It should be noted that the official answer key will be released online by the Council on its website cisce.org. Till then students are asked to keep a check at the site.
