Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) conducts the ICSE Group III Elective Papers examination today, on December 08. The ICSE exam for several elective papers like Music, Indian Classical Dance, Mass Media & Communication, Home Science, Yoga, Computer Applications, Hospitality Management, French, German & Spanish etc, is reportedly now over and held successfully at the allotted centres. One hour duration elective paper is held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon while Technical Drawing Applications paper is scheduled from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, which is underway.
Based on the students’ feedback after the examination, the Elective paper for most of the subjects was easy. The paper was similar and designed on the same pattern as described in the Specimen papers by the ICSE. Students find that most of the questions were from the described units and solvable.
According to the media reports, approximately, 2 lakhs students have registered to appear in the ICSE class 10 semester 1 exam this year. Owning to the ongoing conditions, the council has decided to conduct the ICSE exams on OMR-sheet.
Students who take the ICSE Elective Group 3 paper exam may check the unofficial answer key, question paper, difficulty level of the paper along the opinion of exam experts.

ICSE Elective Gr III Paper Analysis:
According to the ICSE date sheet 2021, CISCE has scheduled to conduct an OMR-based exam for Group-3 Elective papers (Carnatic Music, Commercial Applications, Computer Applications, Cookery, Drama, Economic Applications, Environmental Applications, Fashion Designing, French, German, Hindustani Music, Home Science, Hospitality Management, Indian Dance, Mass Media & Communications, Physical Education, Spanish, Western Music, Yoga, and Technical Drawing Applications.
The question paper is divided into two sections – Section A & Section B is held containing multiple-choice questions with a maximum of 50 marks. Students were given time duration of 1 hour to attempt the elective paper. The marks of each question are represented in front of the question. There is no negative marking in the ICSE exams 2021.
