Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has conducted the ICSE Environmental Science paper today, December 16. The one-hour duration ICSE EVS paper is reportedly held successfully with moderate difficulty. The semester-1 elective paper exam started at 11:00 am in the morning lasted at 12:00 noon. Students who appear in the ICSE EVS paper now can check the paper analysis, answer keys, and opinions shared by the educators online.
The EVS Elective paper (Group 2) is reportedly held with flying colors at the designated centers. Based on the analysis, the paper was balanced and students with basic preparation could attempt more than 20 MCQs, a student said after the examination.
Students sharing their own opinions stated that the EVS paper was on the same pattern as described in the specimen paper by the CISCE. Further students found the paper ‘balanced’ as almost all questions were from the prescribed syllabus/ units.
It is reported from candidates that the questions based on Pollution, Food, and Soil topics were comparatively easier than the rest. A couple of questions were also asked from Environment Management and Addressing Population.
ICSE Environmental Science Paper Analysis:
The maximum marks in the ICSE Class 10, Examination 2021-22 for the first semester are 40. It is reported that students were given a duration of one hour (inclusive of reading time) to attempt these questions. All questions were compulsory to attempt by the students. There is no negative marking in the exam.

In the EVS paper, questions were asked from five units- Controlling Air Pollution, Addressing Population, Managing Urban Environment, Managing Soil and Land, and Food. The marks intended for questions were given in brackets, in front of the question.
Ahead of the display of the official answer key, online educators like Sir Tarun Rupani, Master Mind, RVA Online Class, etc, would share the EVS December 16 paper analysis with the answer key (unofficial). Hence, students have to keep a regular check on the website.
ICSE Semester 1 Exams authentic answer key, will be displayed by the exam organizing council on its official website cisce.org. The key is expected to be released after the board examinations are over.
