The Burbank Police Department and Wrapix Imaging on Tuesday, Oct. 4, teamed up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, unveiling a pink-wrapped Ford Explorer police cruiser dressed up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The participants hope to encourage women to get regular breast screenings.
The event included state Sen. Anthony Portantino, Burbank Mayor Jess Talamantes and Burbank Chief of Police Michael Albanese. According to the Burbank Police, “The purpose behind wrapping this vehicle in pink is to draw attention and encourage regular screenings for the early detection of breast cancer.”
The deep pink wrap was supplied by Wrapix Imaging, a family-owned company specializing in custom-printed graphics. “It’s great to partner with the Burbank Police Department once again for this important cause,” said Adam Sumner, owner of Wrapix Imaging.
The pink police cruiser will be on display in October at the police station and at upcoming community events.
Burbank Police have also joined the Pink Patch Project and will be selling Burbank Police pink patches throughout the month of October to raise money for the City of Hope and cancer research.
Pink patches can be purchased at the front counter of the Burbank Police Department.
