ROME, 12th June, 2023 (WAM) — Faisal Al Rahmani was unanimously re-elected as the Chairman of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR), and General Supervisor of the UAE President’s Cup World Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, discussed bilateral cooperation with Patrizio Giacomo La Pietra, State Secretary for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, and Member of the House of Representatives in the Italian Republic.
Al Rahmani presented the Federation’s plans to promote purebred Arabian horse racing globally and in Europe. He emphasised the positive results due to which the number of races has increased in a way that has helped owners and breeders achieve their objectives.
The meeting also tackled the significant challenges that IFAHR has overcome by offering suitable solutions for the revival of Arabian horse racing and motivating owners to sponsor and buy Arabian horses on a bigger scale. They also explored the difficulties facing Italian racing and the measures needed to improve it.
La Pietra affirmed that the ministry would provide all resources and logistical assistance to the racecourses hosting the races. Moreover, efforts will be made to upgrade the television coverage of all races, aiming to place Italy at the forefront of horse racing.
