I’m A Celebrity bosses are hoping the arrival of soap stars Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson will give the show’s dwindling ratings a boost.
Fans have branded this series of the ITV show “dull”, “flat” and “lacking spark” as only 5.8 million viewers tuned in on Tuesday’s episode whilst Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off’s final on the same night that got 6.9million.
A source is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “I think fans miss the show being in Australia but it’s better to have it on air than not at all.”
EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt and Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson will arrive at the castle in scenes aired during tomorrow night’s show, with fans getting a quick insight into the new arrivals at the end of tonight’s show.

Simon is best known for starring as Steve McDonald in ITV soap Coronation Street, whilst Adam will be best known to UK viewers for playing Ian Beale in EastEnders for over three decades.
It is not uncommon for I’m A Celebrity to feature late arrivals, with Simon and Adam’s names the top of a long list of celebs who have wandered into the castle – or jungle – grounds a few days after the first intake.
Last year, Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson were the late arrivals, whilst in the past, it has also included the likes of fellow Corrie star Andy Whyment and EastEnders’ Cliff Parisi as well as Noel Edmonds – who still remains one of the highest paid celebs to ever enter the show – and Alison Hammond in the 2010 series.

Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald on Corrie has confessed that he’s worried he will be a “complete ball of nerves” when he enters camp.
The actor, who has been in the soap for 32 years, is worried that he won’t be able to show “his true side”.
“I think it will be nice for people who are fans of the show to see a different side,” he tells the Mirror ahead of entering Gwrych Castle.
“How big a difference that side is yet to be seen! They might just be like, ‘Oh my god, he’s just like Steve!’
“So yeah, it will be nice for people to see a different side.”
He added: “When you’re doing something like this, if nerves get the better of you, it’s kind of hard to show your true side anyway! So maybe it’s time to relax and tell some stories, so they’ll get to see a different side. But who knows!”
