Arlene Phillips was evicted from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Castle on Sunday night. She became the first celebrity to be voted off the show this year and has described her experience on the ITV reality series as “an adventure of a lifetime”. The former Strictly Come Dancing judge opened up about her time on the show during an interview on Monday’s Good Morning Britain. Hosts Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis quizzed Arlene about the filming break during Storm Arwen and the star confessed she was allowed some luxuries back.
Talking about how challenging I’m A Celebrity was, Arlene said: “It was really tough in there.
“I had prepared myself for it, but it is actually tougher than you think and it’s cold and it’s hard work.
“You have to do everything. You know, all the campmates have to make the fire, go on poo patrol, emptying the privy, it’s just non-stop.
“I’m always cleaning up, there’s the cooking, the washing up, so many jobs to do, splitting wood for the fire,” she explained.

However, she insisted it wasn’t all bad in the celebrity camp: “It’s an adventure of a lifetime, it really is.”
Martin was keen to know more about the series’ filming break which saw the celebrity contestants evacuated from Gwrych Castle as a result of the severe weather from Storm Arwen.
The presenter asked: “What happened in the storm? Where did they take you? What did you do?
“Were you allowed to talk to anyone? Were you locked in a room? Tell us,” he questioned.
“We spent a day in the Castle, we didn’t know where we were going to go, what was going to happen, then we were taken to isolation.
“We all had separate houses and there was some food waiting for us,” Arlene said.
She confessed it was a “strange” experience being taken out of the Castle for a short time.
Arlene revealed: “It was very strange because you’re out of the Castle but you’re still in isolation.
