The first poster and release date for the upcoming animated sequence I’m Groot is out. In the poster, the titular character might be seen chilling and listening to music.
The sequence is a derivative of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and centres round one in all MCU’s loveliest characters. It will probably be made up of shorts that includes presumably different MCU characters in a supporting capability. The present is created by Ryan Little and helmed by Kirsten Lepore.
While Groot is an adolescent in the principle MCU continuity, the sequence will observe Baby Groot. A tree-like humanoid, Groot, as an grownup, first appeared in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. While he died, one in all his physique components grew into Baby Groot when planted like a tree. The sequence will observe this Baby Groot.
James Gunn, who has directed each the Guardians films and can return to wrap up the franchise with a 3rd movie, has mentioned that I’m Groot is not going to essentially be part of the franchise. “They are animated shorts so not necessarily part of the Guardians saga,” he mentioned on Twitter in response to a fan question.

He added that the movie is “different than what people are going to expect. It’s a hard road, but I’m really happy with it so far”.
James Gunn can be engaged on the Guardians Holiday Special, which is scheduled to release through the vacation season in 2022.
