Imam-ul-Haq anchors Pakistan to 154-3 on Day Two

Opener Imam-ul-Haq anchored Pakistan with a pugnacious half-century as the home team reached 154-3 on Tuesday after New Zealand piled up a handy 449 in their first innings of the second Test here. 

At stumps of Day Two, Haq was unbeaten on 74 and Saud Shakeel 13 as the home team need another 96 runs to avoid the follow-on. Earlier, Abrar Ahmed (4-149) struck twice and Naseem Shah (3-71) clean bowled Ish Sodhi at his overnight score of 11 to curtail New Zealand at 345-9 after it resumed on 309-6.
