As we reset ahead of the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, there are several contenders still in the mix, but also long shots have become viable candidates to win it all as the bracket has played out.
While Alabama and Houston have begun to shrink at the top of the odds board, we have seen several other teams move swiftly in the college basketball National Championship market after advancing out of the first two rounds and the path has gotten easier for teams to advance.
You can check out the updated odds for who will cut down the nets below, but keep reading to see what those odds actually mean in terms of what the implied probability is that they will win.
There is a ton of probability tied to Alabama and Houston, over 40%, but there are five other teams that have a greater than 5% and less than 12% chance of cutting down the nets. This is a testament to how close all the top teams are to one another and how wide open the Sweet 16 and beyond will be.
