IND vs WI 2nd Test Day 1 Live Score: Brathwaite invites Rohit to bat first; Mukesh Kumar makes his Test debut

This is going to be a historic occasion as India and West Indies are set to play their 100th Test match. While star India batter Virat Kohli is also going to play a landmark 500th international match of his illustrious career.

Team India lead the series 1-0 after having won the opening match by an innings and 141 runs and stamped their authority in a lopsided contest against a beleaguered West Indian side.

Coach Rahul Dravid will be hoping his team will continue the winning momentum and continue their unbeaten streak in the Caribbean. The Indians are unbeaten in the Caribbean in the last two decades and skipper Rohit Sharma will be looking to keep the record intact in the match between the two teams.

West Indies – who were outplayed in all three departments in the opening Test match – will be aiming to put up a better show in the Port of Spain. Captain Brathwaite’s personal performance against a slightly inexperienced Indian bowling attack was also a concern for the team.

He would be hoping for a better show from his teammates, especially the batters, against a quality Indian side which is ranked number one in the latest Test rankings. Getting past premier India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is going to be a big challenge for the West Indies batters.
