- Ajinkya Rahane: The Test team vice-captain failed to impress and could score only 11 runs from two innings in the series.
- Ravichandran Ashwin: The veteran off-spinner was the star of the series, picking 12 wickets and scoring 56 runs in the only opportunity he got with the bat. Second-highest wicket-taker Ravindra Jadeja picked eight less wickets than Ashwin.

- Navdeep Saini: The pacer did not get to play in any of the two Test matches.
IN
- Suryakumar Yadav: With three ducks in his last three ODIs, the middle-order batter again finds a place in the India setup.
- Sanju Samson: The very talented wicketkeeper-batter has a golden chance to grab the attention of the selectors ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023. He last played an ODI match for India in November, 2022.
- Hardik Pandya: The white-ball walks in the team as the lead pace-bowling all-rounder.
- Yuzvendra Chahal: The leg-spinner is behind Kuldeep Yadav in the pecking order according to many and would be looking for an impressive run with a World Cup spot up for grab.
