IND-W vs BAN-W: When did India Women last play a tied ODI match? Full list

Three runs were needed off the last six balls with one wicket in hand when Meghna Singh and Jemimah Rodrigues ran a single on the first two balls of the 50th over to level the scores. However, on the third delivery Meghna ended up edging the ball into the hands of Bangladesh captain and wicket-keeper Nigar Sultana.

Rodrigues and Meghna looked displeased with the decision of the umpire but all they could do was accept it and go back to the pavilion with a heavy heart.

This is only the second instance of India Women settling for a tie in an ODI match. The first time India Women’s ODI match ended in a tie was on December 17, 1997. In the match in Indore, New Zealand Women batted first and scored 176/9 in 50 overs. In reply, Pramila Bhatt-led India Women got bundled out for the same score in 49.1 overs. It was only the third instance of a Women’s ODI match ending in a draw. Overall, nine women’s ODI matches have finished with a tied result.
