India all-rounder Washington Sundar’s Twitter account gets hacked, Hacker denies with reply

The Indian all-rounder last posted a couple of days ago which seemed authentic as a promotion of Gillette, but his posts on Monday clearly indicated the account got hacked.

Washington Sundar

This is not the first time an Indian cricket team or player’s account got hacked. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s twitter account got hacked as well and it posted NFT-related things. The hacker also changed the account name to ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club’.

The same thing happened with Sunrisers Hyderabad’s YouTube account earlier this year as it turned to publish videos for links to certain softwares.

As soon as Washington Sundar’s Twitter account started posting the crypto stuff, fans could comprehend that the account got hacked.

One fan even asked the question if Sundar’s account got hacked, and a prompt reply ‘No’ came from the account.

There were three tweets made in total by the hacker and all of them were promoting cryptocurrencies and urging the users to claim those crypto coins through AIRDROP.

For Washington Sundar, the season itself has been a disappointing one. He was ruled out of the IPL 2023 after playing just seven matches in the season. A hamstring injury kept has kept him out since.

His performance in the IPL 2023 matches was not good enough. The player picked up 3 wickets and could manage only 60 runs as his team Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at the bottom of the IPL table with just 4 wins out of 14 matches.

A long list of injury issues that Sundar has been carrying has kept him out of the national team. With Team India set to play numerous matches ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup later this year, Sundar will be aiming to get himself into the team and keep himself in the race for the World Cup squad.
