Team India to assemble in Indore on February 25

The players of the Indian cricket have reportedly been asked to assemble in Indore on February 25. Following the win in Delhi, the team has been given a well-deserved mini-break. Most of the players have opted to spend the time with their family and have headed back home. Middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav travelled to Tirupati to visit the Tirumala Venkateshwar Temple for darshan.

Shreyas Iyer’s Instagram story suggested that he travelled back home in Mumbai with former India coach Ravi Shastri who is on commentating duty for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The Indian cricket team on Sunday visited the Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya – a unique museum dedicated to the Prime Ministers of India, illustrating the journey of India after Independence – in New Delhi on Sunday. The official Twitter handle of the BCCI had shared pictures and videos from the visit.

On the other hand, the visiting camp has been hit by a series of injuries. Pacer Josh Hazlewood has travelled back home after failing to recover from an Achilles injury. Off-spinner Todd Murphy, who made a name for himself after his stellar debut in Nagpur Test, is battling a sore side. David Warner was hit on his elbow twice and was concussed out of the Delhi Test. The opener’s participation in the third Test is doubtful for now. Further, captain Pat Cummins has also travelled back due to serious illness in his family. However, he is expected to return on time for the third Test. All-rounder Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc have recovered well from their finger injuries and are in line to feature in the Indore Test.
