According to OneCricket, the India captain got struck in his left thumb while batting in the nets on Tuesday, which heightened the fear among Indian fans regarding Rohit’s availability.

The Indian captain has been carrying a thumb issue for a long time. An injury in the Bangladesh ODI series last year kept him out of action for a few weeks. The visuals of him checking his strapped left thumb has created massive concern among the supporters back home.
The Indian captain will be crucial against the Aussies in the WTC Final and has been in decent form in Test cricket. He scored a century in the First Test against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year, a series win which helped India to book the WTC Final berth.

Amid the injury concerns, the India captain came for the pre-match press conference and looked absolutely fine. There was no strapping in his thumb and even the practice images afterwards showed no sign of any injury emergency.
Reports from the stadium have also confirmed the Indian captain has no injury issue and is available for the match tomorrow.
I have gotten the job to take the Indian cricket forward and win as many games and championships as possible. That’s what you play for – win some titles and extra ordinary series

India have already lost KL Rahul who could have been a potential opener in the WTC Final. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are set to open the batting for India whereas Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinjya Rahane may complete their top five.
For now, the lineup looks set as Indian fans pray that Rohit Sharma’s thumb is absolutely fine ahead of the crucial finale. India will be aiming to go one better this time in the WTC Final after the defeat against New Zealand in WTC Final 2021.
