Rohit Sharma’s side sealed handed Kraigg Brathwaite’s West Indies a demoralising innings and 141 runs defeat inside three days of the first Test last week at the Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.

Team India bundled out the hosts to 150 in the first innings thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin’s five-wicket haul before skipper Rohit (103) and debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal (171) smashed hundreds to ensure the visitors don’t bat again by posting a total of 421/5.
Chasing a deficit of 271, the hosts had their task cutout and once again fell to spin as Ashwin ended with seven wickets in the innings to bowl out West Indies for 130. The senior off-spinner ended the match with 12 wickets.
West Indies will hope to forget that outing when the action shifts to Trinidad for the second Test, which will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, a venue which has both teams win three matches each and the remaining 7 including the most recent in 2017 end in draw.
Here is a look at the Queen’s Park Oval Stats, Record, Pitch Report and Port of Spain, Trinidad Weather Forecast for July 20 to July 24 ahead of India vs West Indies 2nd Test:

Queen’s Park Oval Pitch Report
Over the years, the pitches at the Queen’s Park Oval have been like a typical Test wickets in the Caribbean, assisting quicker bowlers, but easier to score in the first two innings of the Test.
Unlike the first Test, which saw the ball turn from day 1, the wickets at Queen’s Park Oval may assist the fast bowlers at least in the early hours and with the new ball.
The average scores of the venue also suggest that the team batting second have scored the most runs. Plus the teams chasing in the final innings have mostly chased small targets.
Pacers have had the fair share of wickets at the venue. That may change with the quality of Indian spin and the West Indies batters ability to cope with the turn.
Port of Spain Weather Forecast for July 20 to July 24
The weather forecast from Thursday (July 20) to Monday (July 24) indicates chance of showers on all days of play with day 2 and 4 expected to see more rain. The maximum temperature is set to fluctuate from of 30o C to 34o C.
