In the video, stars of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Shubman Gill were spotted donning the new India Blue jerseys and giving the message ‘Impossible Is Nothing’.

Earlier on Thursday (June 1), Adidas shared the jerseys of each of the three formats in a special style. In a graphic-generated video, the three jerseys could be seen floating majestically on top of Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian cricket team will be seen donning the new Test jersey during the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia at The Oval in London. “An iconic moment, An iconic stadium. Introducing the new team India Jersey’s,” Adidas video captioned.

After the sponsorship deal with Byju’s ended, BCCI was aiming for a deal worth Rs 350 crore with the German sports brand. Earlier this month, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed the news but didn’t disclose the monetary details of the deal. After Byju’s deal, Killer Jeans had a short-term deal with Team India which expired on May 31. Prior to Killer Jeans, MPL was the kit sponsor.

Who designed Team India Adidas Jersey?

The new Team India jersey has been designed by Delhi-based designer Aaquib Wani. Hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Aaquib Wani is the Founder & Creative Director at Aaquib Wani Design. His studio is based in South Delhi.

Wani, in the past, has designed the jersey of IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2023 season. He was featured in the Forbes India 30 under 30 – Design, 2021 show. He was the first person from J&K to feature in the Forbes list.

“WOW! Bowled over by all the love and good wishes for designing the Indian Cricket team jerseys! It’s an absolute honor and we’re feeling super emotional and proud right now. Thank you,” Wani – who has 55.5k followers on Instagram – tweeted on Saturday (June 3).
