The Indian doubles pair will next face the winner of the quarterfinal between Kang Min Hyuk-Seo Seung Jae of Korea and Indonesian pair of Leo Rolly Carnando-Daniel Marthin.
Later, Malaysia Masters champion HS Prannoy defeated Japan’s Kodai Naraoka via straight games to reach the men’s singles semifinal. The seventh seeded Indian beat the third seeded Japanese shuttler 21-18, 21-16 in the last 8 match that lasted for 55 minutes.
Prannoy will next face the winner of the quarterfinal between top seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark and the fifth seeded Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the last four match on Saturday (June 17).
