For only the fourth time in history a team has come back from being down 3-0 to tie an NBA playoff series and force Game 7. And it took one of the wildest finishes in recent memory to get us there.
With just three seconds to play, Jimmy Butler drained three perfect free-throw attempts to give the Miami Heat a 103-102 lead. But three seconds were too much.
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White secured an offensive rebound off a missed shot from Jaylen Brown and with 0.5 seconds to play managed to get the ball past the fingertips of Heat guard Max Strus into the next for the 104-103 victory.
And with that win, Twitter instantly went crazy. Pretty much everyone has just two words to describe what just happened: “Holy” and “s-t.”

Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals will be this coming Monday. And it’ll be in Boston at TD Bank Arena.
If there was ever a team that could do what no team in NBA history has ever done, it’s this Boston Celtics team.
What a moment. What a game. What a series.
What a sport.
