A SCOTS getaway dubbed “Britain’s most remote hotel” is offering guests an experience to live off the grid.
Garvault House offers the unique experience to anyone who stays there.
The remote getaway can be found just outside Kinbrace in the Highlands.
Run by archaeologists Eva and Adrian Aderyn – the hotel has its own electrical and water and isn’t even connected to the national grid or water supply.
Guests are also promised uninterrupted views of the Scottish wilderness.
Garvault House is surrounded by roaming hills where visitors can go on a hike to enjoy the stunning views.
They can even spot local wildlife, with red deer herds, eagles and ospreys all to be spotted in the area.
Nearby rivers also have otters, salmon and trout.
Guests can also get an uninterrupted slice of history, with the nearest buildings to the hotel being ancient hut circles and an iron age hill fort.
The “back of beyond” location also allows for a range of rural activities for punters to enjoy.
The hotel offers trout and salmon fishing at nearby Garvault Burn, and a range of hills and munros on its doorstep and a short walk to a series of waterfalls.
It also boasts the chance for bird watching, photography and ancient ruins.
The owners promise guests an eco-friendly stay with their stay powered by solar panels and saltwater batteries.
And they get their fresh water from a hill spring and a reed bed for waste water.
Garvault Hotel will be featured on Channel 4’s The World’s Most Secret Hotels, among remote getaways from across the world.
And one young eight-year-old guest Pablo is quoted on their website saying: “You can walk into the nothing”.
