Inside Samuel L. Jackson’s detective thriller filming in Scots town

Details about the “top secret” project that Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson has been filming in West Lothian have been revealed.

The film icon, 74, was spotted standing under an umbrella while interacting with excited locals on a street in Bathgate on Thursday evening.

It came after the Hollywood megastar was seen filming at a nearby church at Almondvale Stadium in West Lothian on Tuesday.

As reported by Deadline Hollywood, the Marvel actor has been shooting action thriller Damaged, which will revolve around a detective from Chicago visiting Scotland amid a spree of murders.

The cast includes a string of Scottish names, including The Mummy actor John Hannah and Game of Thrones actress Kate Dickie.

Black Swan and Ocean’s Twelve star Vincent Cassel will also feature in the movie.

The film will be directed by Terry McDonough, who has previously worked on TV shows such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Scottish streaming company Stream Digital, which recently moved into the film industry with its studios in Livingston, has partnered with Red Sea Media and Bondit Media Capital to produce the movie.

It is not yet known when the film will be released.
