It’s a once-in-her-lifetime opportunity.
In honor of Betty White’s upcoming 100th birthday, Choice Mutual Insurance Agency is paying a lucky film fan $1,000 to watch the screen icon’s greatest works.
“We’re looking for someone who adores Betty White,” reads the advertisement for the dream gig, which will take place ahead of the “Golden Girls” star’s centennial on Jan. 17, 2022. (Perhaps extra security can keep America’s Sweetheart safe until then.)
Per the posting, the winner will have “24 hours to watch 10 hours of pre-selected Betty White film and TV appearances.” The only catch is they’ll need to document their birthday binge on social media “so friends and family can celebrate” them.
Along with the $1,000, the lucky Betty White worshipper will receive a “DVD player and a curated selection of Betty White DVDs to complete the job.”
“This candidate is probably already planning to binge 10 hours of her classics, but now they get paid to do it!” wrote CMIA.
The firm is already accepting applications for the enviable position, which requires applicants to be at least 18 years old and be a United States resident. To apply, prospective viewers must answer several questions, including “What is your favorite Betty White role?” and “Tell us why you think Betty White is a TV/Film icon.” Fans can even earn bonus points by uploading a video explaining why they love the legendary comedienne.
White has been in show business for more than 80 years and played iconic roles such as saucy Sue Ann Nivens on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and dopey Rose Nylund on “The Golden Girls.”
