Jaiswal was at his brutal best once again, smashing the fastest IPL fifty of 13 balls and scoring 98 unbeaten runs off 47 balls as Rajasthan chased down a 150-run target with 41 balls and nine wickets remaining. Samson himself remained unbeaten on 48 off 29.
Southpaw Jaiswal missed out on his second IPL hundred by two runs but Samson made sure that he wasn’t devoid of the opportunity. Despite knowing that Net Run Rate (NRR) would become crucial at one stage and winning the match as quickly as possible was important, Samson gave the 21-year-old a chance to reach the three-figure mark.
On the final ball of the 13th over, leg-spinner Suyash Sharma bowled a delivery to Samson which was going down the leg. However, the Rajasthan captain took his front leg in the direction of the ball and blocked the delivery using it to ensure it’s not a wide delivery.
Immediately after he walked up to Jaiswal batting on 94 and seemingly said, “Chakka maar”. The gesture won the hearts of fans and reminded them of MS Dhoni’s act for Virat Kohli in the semi-final of the 2014 T20 World Cup.

The former India captain had blocked a slower short delivery on the final ball of the 19th over to give Kohli the chance to hit the winning runs. Kohli, who was adjudged Man of the Match later, did exactly that and finished the match with a boundary off Dale Steyn.

Jaiswal also kept the team man in him above the personal milestone and did not waste deliveries trying to reach the hundred. On the first ball of the 14th over, Jaiswal shuffled inwards and played a wide yorker from Shardul Thakur towards vacant square leg region to finish the match with a boundary.
