With the precipitation level close to 60 percent, thunderstorms and rain has been predicted from 6 PM. 50 percent chance of rain throughout from 6 PM to 1 AM. According to AccuWeather, there will be cloud cover of 70 percent between 8 PM to 10 PM. The humidity level will hover around 60 to 70 percent after 7 PM.
While GT are looking to win their second IPL title in as many attempts, CSK are eyeing their fifth IPL title which will take them at par with Mumbai Indians (MI).
Widely being advertised as the battle between the ‘Mentor and the Apprenrtice’ (Dhoni vs Hardik), the high-octane clash could very well be Dhoni’s last as a professional cricketer. Even though he hasn’t confirmed anything, it is being widely speculated that the IPL 2023 season is Dhoni’s last as a player.
Hardik’s GT defeated CSK by five wickets in the IPL 2023 opener in Ahmedabad. CSK then returned the favour by beating GT by 15 runs in the Qualiifer 1 in Chennai. Gujarat have won each of their last three matches in Ahmedabad.
