Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya said that Shubman Gill’s century in the playoff was the finest knock he has ever seen in a T20 game while adding that he always tries that his players to feed off his positive energy.
“I think the clarity and confidence Shubman Gill is carrying is amazing,” said Hardik Pandya. “Today’s innings was one of the finest, he never looked rushed. It felt like someone was throwing balls and he was hitting. He will be a superstar in international and franchise cricket. I do have conversations with him, I try that people feed off my energy.”
Hardik Pandya also called Rashid Khan is go-to man whenever the team is in trouble as the Afghan spinner took the big wicket of Tim David in the death overs. The Aussie at that point was Mumbai’s last hope of chasing down 234-run target.
“I think we’ve spoken enough about him. He’s been the man I can rely on when the team is in a tough situation. We have to play good cricket, put in our 100%. Knockouts could go either way, but very excited for the final,” he said.
