Being put into bat first, KL Rahul and his team have racked up 257/5 at the end of their 20 overs. This is the highest score of IPL this season by a mile, and the second-highest in the entire history of the tournament.

LSG IPL 2023 vs PBKS

It was a destructive batting display, which was started by Kyle Mayers. The Carribean southpaw scored 54 off just 24 balls to set the tone, which was then amplified in glorious fashion by Ayush Badoni (43 off 24) and Marcus Stoinis (72 off 40). Stoinis and Badoni added 89 runs for 3rd wicket in just 46 balls.

The onslaught continued with Nicholas Pooran, whose blitzkrieg inning against his old team took them beyond the 250 mark. After their batting collapse-induced loss against Gujarat Titans, it so far has been a perfect redemption.

Twitter erupted after the brilliant batting display by LSG and hailed their batters. Here are some of the Twitter Reactions-

PBKS hit 27 fours and 14 sixes in their innings. All of the carnage started with Kyle Mayers.

Marcus Stoinis came and decimated the PBKS bowling. He used his long handle and battered the Punjab bowlers across the ground.

LSG skipper KL Rahul departed for 12 runs off 9 balls. And this fan ironically believes Rahul’s early dismissal helped the Lucknow side to mount the massive total.

Some more love for Mayers, Stoinis and Pooran – Bollywood Style!

LSG made a radical change to their batting display from their last game. It was a shocking collapse last match which handed them a loss out of the blue. Hopefully, the win is the bag against PBKS today.
