IPL Playoffs 2023 Qualified Teams
Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans became the first team to qualify for the playoffs with their emphatic 34-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. While CSK booked the playoffs seat with a 77-run thrashing of Delhi Capitals in their last league match of the tournament.
Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, became the third side to book the playoffs berth with a slender one-run win over a spirited Kolkata Knight Riders in the latter’s backyard at Eden Gardens.
The fourth and final team for the IPL 2023 Playoffs will be decided on the final day of the tournament’s league stage on Sunday (May 20). Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad and later Royal Challengers Bangalore host holders Gujarat Titans at home. If RCB win this game, they’ll qualify with 16 points and a better net run rate.
Five-time IPL champions MI will first have to beat SRH by a big margin and later hope that RCB lose their game or the match gets washed out as there is a rain forecast in Bengaluru on Sunday evening.
