All of the CSK batters went rampant against a pale KKR bowling and took them apart. But the standout moment of the match was the partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube, as the pair added 85 runs in just 32 balls for 3rd wicket to give CSK a massive stranglehold.
Shivam Dube, in particular, was fantastic and scored 50 off just 21 balls. He hit two fours and five sixes in his breathtaking inning.
Shivam Dube has scored the joint-third quickest fifty for CSK in IPL history. The southpaw took just 20 balls to get to his half-century and dismantled the KKR bowlers with some terrific hitting.
With his 50, Dube also equalled the CSK captain MS Dhoni, who scored a 20-ball fifty against Mumbai Indians in 2012.
Ajinkya Rahane, who remained unbeaten on 71 runs off just 29 balls n Sunday, also scored a 19-ball fifty earlier this season against Mumbai Indians.
Former India player Suresh Raina holds the record for scoring the quickest half-century for CSK. He scored a 14-ball fifty against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2014.
