The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has conducted ISC (Class 12) Environmental Science paper today, on December 17. The semester-1 paper is reportedly held successfully for the enrolled students from 02:00 to 3:30 pm. Students who appeared in today’s EVS semester 1 paper now can check the exam analysis, paper insight, and unofficial answer key as shared by the educators. The official answer key, however, will be released by the council on its website cisce.org.

It is reported that the Environmental Science paper was moderate in difficulty. The level of ISC Environmental Science questions was average in difficulty. Questions from Population, Pollution Monitoring, and 3rd World Development units were comparatively as per the level defined in the specimen paper, a student said on difficulty level. The total marks in the examination are 35.

According to the reports, ISC EVS (Paper 1) OMR sheet was disbursed among the students at 1:50 pm, 10 minutes before the start of the examination. The candidates were strictly instructed to follow the COVID 19 guidelines and safety protocols.

Based on the students’ feedback, the paper was moderate in difficulty. It should be noted that each correct answer carries 1 mark. While there is no provision of negative marking. Based on the bifurcated syllabus for class 12, the first-semester ISC EVS paper carries a total of 35 marks. 

Questions in the Environmental Science semester 1 paper are asked from four units- Human Beings and Nature, Population and Conservation Ecology, Monitoring Population, and Third World Development. 

It should be noted that the analysis is provisional and solutions provided by Er Yash Maheshwari, an EVS exam educator, may change.
